Hello all. I hopes onetime can advice me on the best thing to use between the caravan exterior handle on back and front I between the body and the handle to help keep moisture out. I think there was some sort gory bee washer before. What would you use! I have water coming in!!!!

Over the years I must have removed 20 of these handles, but have never found any sort of washer under the base. What I have found is a lot of non-setting sealant (sikaflex 512 or similar).
To stop any more water getting in - remove the handle, use white spirit to remove ALL traces of the old sealant. fill the screwholes with sealant and then push a large size rawlplug into the holes. Put a lot of sealant on the bases of the handle and screw it to the body. Let it settle for an hour or so and try tightening again before removing the excess sealant.

And would you suggest sikaflex 512 for this? Thanks Brian

Sikaflex was considered to be the best but has become harder to find and more expensive. Current thinking is that Seamaseal CV is the best alternative costs around £6.00 per tube.
