This has been sent to all members by email if you haven't received it, let me have an updated email address.
CLASSIC SAFARI CARAVAN GROUP
So as a New Year begins, I thought it was time for a personal message to all members and to start a real attempt to get some action from members of both the Proboards Forum and the Facebook Group.
I am sending this email to all Forum members and Facebook Group members through their member email systems, so you may receive it twice. If you see it on the forum or FB and don’t receive it as an email, check the address you have registered as it is probably wrong. If you want to be removed, or change your contact email, please email me at Brian@Classicsafaris.co.uk
I need an updated email list of all members, as I am going to start a monthly Newsletter with details of events, and other Safari happenings.
The past year has seen further growth in the number of members, membership of the forum is now 520, and almost 335 on the Facebook Group. I understand that a lot of people join either group as they are thinking of buying a Safari, and subsequently do not do so, and there are also those wanting sell a Safari and move on to other interests. If this applies to you and you want to leave the group I will not be offended.
In spite of these increases there is still a big majority of you who have never contributed one word to either the group or the forum. With so many new members embarking on major restorations of their Safari, some of whom have never seen another Safari, why not post a note about yourselves and include your location as you may be a neighbour to a fellow member and would benefit from having someone you could meet up with in your locality.
I have to express my total disappointment at the general lack of interest in attending events organised for Safari caravans. Surely some of you are actually using your Safaris for their original purpose and touring in them so why not join us at one of the meetings. Full details of these events are on the forum and on Facebook, it would be great to see more Safaris at all of them.
Now let us all get out there in our Safaris and have a great 2015
Brian.
