Well, this time last week I would never have thought I'd be writing a thread on a caravan owners forum...but my wife and I are terrible influences on each other and this kind of thing happens more often than is probably sane.
So, hello to you all. My name is Richard, my wife, Annie, and I bought Chris's little Safari from him on Sunday. Will look at it in more detail soon to find chassis number etc (where is this?) as we've parked it at my folk's place until we can find somewhere to keep her more locally to start the not insignificant job of making her beautiful again.
I have never spent a single night in a caravan so couldn't be more of a novice on this topic so will be picking lots of brains and hoping for lots of friendly advice, which you guys seem to give out in abundance. I have already made friends with a few of you on Facebook and look forward to getting to know more of you...
Photos will follow and we'll be writing about our adventure on a regular basis...The dream is to create an amazing little mobile holistic therapy salon which we will take to little festivals and private parties, as well as having weekends away ourselves when she has her "living in" interior.
A crazy idea and a rather scary project but you only live once in this world and tv is utter shite these days so need something to stop us from getting bored...
Richard and Annie. X

What a fantastic introduction - made me smile the last bit. Welcome to the forum, you will find lots of usefull information already on here if you have time to go through all the topics on here you will find out lots of things which I am sure you didn't even think about! You have a very rare 1969 13-2 which is one of the smallest cute models and will be great seeing it completed, feel free to start a topic in restoration and restore and upload photographs as the restoration takes place. Also you have my number so if you find it easier pick up the phone. Chris.

Richard and Annie
Welcome to the crazy world of Classic Safaris. From your introduction I know you will fit right in here.
Your proposed use is fantastic, we have several that are used for food and drink retailing, one was a tarot reading room, others have been building site offices, and some are even used for touring and holidays! Hopefully you can bring it to one of our meetings and introduce holistic therapy to our members.
The Safari serial number was unfortunately only present on a sticker by the door, and if that has gone missing then the only hope is that a worker at the factory may have written a number somewhere inside the structure, but this is very rare.
You may find a small plastic plate riveted to the chassis but this is a B&B chassis number. B&B supplied chassis to most caravan manufacturers from the 1960's to the 1980's when they were taken over by Alko, the bigger German chassis builders. So a B&B number series will appear on all sorts of caravans. I know Chris couldn't find a serial number on yours.
Don't hesitate to ask questions - we are pleased to help.
