On most Safaris there are two sizes in use. The front and front side windows require 29-31mm. The rear walls need a smaller size which I do not have a record of.
To check yours measure the width of the wall from the aluminium outside to the wallboard inside. The correct plastic surround as a small raised bit to form the seal against the window itself.
I have several smaller pieces left from the full roll I purchased, and would like to sell these before buying a roll again and so I am offering at special prices
1 Piece white window capping 29-31mm int width length 0.8m £2.50 1 Piece white window capping 29-31mm int width length 3.5m £12.00 2 Piece white window capping 29-31mm int width length 4.5m £15.00 each
All plus postage.

Hi Brian Will the two longer lengths be the right width and length for my two front side windows on my 1974 14/2. I do recall when I came to your house with the van you mentioned something about having plastic trim to fit my windows. The metal ones seem all right but In need of some painting. what Is the benefit of plastic other than replacing old knackered metal ones. Regard Scott

2 lengths should be more then fine, thickness won't be a problem but best to get a tape measure out

If your safari has metal window surrounds I would stick with them They look right and would be easier to clean them up and repaint them than to replace them with rubber the implications of replacing them may involve having to replace the window stays because of clearance issues you cant bend them or they wont work also the latches wont be long enough so will need to be replaced

Sorry Scott I replied to your message but have found a strange bug with this reply box. If you press the blue "reply" button it looks as if you message is posted but it is in fact showing the draft. You need to use the "post quick reply" button to actually post it.
I agree with Henry that to replace the metal surrounds may cause some problems with clearance of the catches, stays and the window frame itself.
If you want to try the plastic profile, I am happy to send you a few inches free of charge so you can try it before making a decision.
