Hello... well i have just spoken to Brian and thought seeing as i spend so much time reading through the posts on this forum- it was about time i wrote one myself!
I had a 70's (i think a 14-4) Safari about 10 yrs ago- I loved her-she was rather battered (and that is putting it very mildly) but still made fantastic accommodation for me at that time and i have loved Safari's ever since. My circumstances changed and I was unable to store Lady Norfolk as she was called back then so i had to give her away (oh i so would have kept her or at least sold her had i known how rare these 4 berths were!)
Anyway years have now passed and i have always been on the look out. Finally i think the time is right and I am so excited of the thought of owning a Safari again- am finally going to put my Safari for sale research to some actual use!
This time however i am aiming for one in the opposite condition to Lady Norfolk. I am not in a position to do a restoration project- time/skills or finance wise. We have a little family and a dog (the same dog that lived in my Safari with me before) and I hope that a good, solid and dry Safari will enable us to have a few holidays- see some sites and stay away from home. Oh and i would just love to take it across the channel!
I look forward to meeting you and seeing lots of Safari's together in one place and actually being a part of it all! Fingers crossed the one i'm seeing in next couple of weeks ticks the boxes structurally. Thank you
