Hi all
What a well organised website, so informative and all the lovely photos.
We have just acquired a 1962 Safari on E bay with the "clerestory" windows, the funny surfer's wave over the flat topped door and rear toilet/washbasin area. The serial number 62180 with two windows at the front and gaslights. It has been wired for electricity, the toilet area has been gutted and the upper bunk is not present, but otherwise it is largely intact, The dinette table packs away to form part of the double bed base. There is a hand pump for water and a gas hob with metal plate rack over.
We have bought the caravan which has the towbar hanging by a thread, and otherwise in fairly good condition, some damp in one corner (and we have seen all the warnings!) as a static van in the garden to provide a chill out pad for our twelve year old daughter because Mum (Ruth) thought it would look Ok in the garden rather than something more modern. It has grown on us rapidly since Sunday evening, and I think we too may have acquired another family member! It really is quite a stylish shape extenally and well fitted internally.

Welcome to the group Mike, Ruth and Ellie, and thanks for the complements about the group.
Glad to hear of another Safari being put to good use, but you will have to get another one to go travelling in!!
