hi, brand new shinny member, from norfolk, i have decided hopefully to buy a safari, i have owned a caravan of different sorts for a few years and thought it was time to buy something older to tinker and restore. any advice on buying my first safari would be greatfully appriciated. Stuart

Hi Stuart and welcome to the group.
There are only three pieces of advice I can offer about buying a Safari -
1. Check for damp 2. Check for damp again 3. Check for damp yet again!!!
Almost all other faults can be sorted out relatively cheaply, but if damps has got in you can budget for a lot of time andquite a bit of money to get rid of it!!
If you find a Safari that interests you, let us know and we will give you our best advice.

thanks for the welcome, HHhhmm that dreaded four letter word...damp! as the wife wont let me spend to much money im affraid damp is something im just gonna have to deal with, but i think theres damp, then rotten.. i expect some but i really going to have to shy away from major refits, Stu
