This is our new addition to the family, Georgie. She's a 1968 13/2 and a little gem and with a good spit and polish we think she's got the potential to be a diamond. Sally & Iain Attachments:

I was watching this on The Bay and was tempted to bid myself but managed to control myself!!
Looks quite tidy, is it just a good clean up and minor repairs needed or worse?

Hi Mick, sorry not got back to you sooner, been away for xmas & new year (unfortunately not with georgie) Glad you didn't bid, lol. Yea, she is quite neat. We've stripped all the wallpaper & will continue with rubbing back the woodwork now we're back. We've taken all doors off and flooring up and found only one small piece of rotten wood inside just beneath one of the lantern windows but nothing major. Seems absolutely sound so far so just hope we dont come across anything major. Our original intention was to strip it all out and refit and make modern but after bringing her home we became curious to her age so started investigating on the 'net so now we are just going to refurb...would be sacriligeous to do otherwise. I'll add some pics at a later date as we progress. Sally

Just had a good look through the photos, I like what you have done with the side colour and the side of the roof. Also the colour of the table and cupboard top are how mine should be.
Can you get any photos of the toilet door, the angled bit from the hinged end and the small angled bit at the kitchen end as mine has all been changed and would like to see how it should be.
Depending where you are could come over to have a look but I expect you will be miles from Lincoln....

Hi Mick, thanks, i don't think hubby has done a bad job of the outside. the paintwork's not perfect but we were short on time and it was a rush-job getting her ready for the British Grand Prix. sorry don't have any pics of the toilet door as this was missing when we bought her, we just put a curtain up as a temporary measure. you're quite welcome to come over any time if Hull's not too far for you, would be nice to exchange info, lol.
