Hi! I'm delighted to find this forum - I knew there had to be one out there somewhere! I've always had a fondness for Safaris and have been looking to buy one for some time now but without success. Definitely had enough of more modern caravans - give me something solid! So here's hoping this might be my connection to my dream 12/2 and an interesting link to other folk who can point me in the right direction when puzzling over repairs, parts etc.

Lizzie - Welcome to the forum
The desire to own a Safari is spreading at an alarming rate. Three new members in the last week all of whom are looking for their first Safari.
This is a good time of the year to be looking, if you have the space to store your Safari over the winter, there seem to be a lot available on Ebay at the moment - some of which are being offered at good prices.
Good luck with your search, and don't be afraid to ask lots of questions, we will always try to help.

Hi one and all
No, it's four new members looking! I have a Citroen DS from 1967, and am looking for a 14' Safari 2 berth, (preferably in first class condition, no leaks and free !) from about 1965 to 1978. Well, not free, then...the 'van should have all the bits in it, although I'm not worried about worn upholstery and no curtains, or faded electrics and the like.

Hi Tim
Nice to have another classic owner on here, a Safari would look good behind a DS.
Keep looking on here and Ebay and I am sure one will come along that meets all your requirements except the price!!
