Hello,
I'm Chris from Tavistock in Devon, Have no caravan at present and have never owned a Safari, Always liked them though and one day would like to have one, Like all things old with charm and love improving anything i get hold of. Have a VW t25 at present for our camping needs and would require a 4 berth as we have two children. a 1980/81 vintage would suit with the end kitchen 15/4 i think?. Only just found this site and did use the old MSN one.

Hi Chris and welcome to the forum.
15/4s seem to be quite rare and don't often come up for sale. Having said that there will probably be a load of them appearing soon!
Good luck with your search.

Chris
I always stand to be corrected but I don't think the galvanised chassis came in before 1978, unless mine is galvanised but has been painted over!
Having said that there have only been a couple of reports of chassis problems on this forum over the last six years! These were where the Safari had stood in long grass for many years and the chassis at the A frame needed a bit of re-inforcing, by plating top, bottom and side of the chassis channel. I have broken early Safaris and found the chassis had a good few years left in them. The trouble really starts from the top down!!
Good luck in your search.
