THE ONLY FORUM FOR ENTHUSIASTS OF CLASSIC SAFARI CARAVANS MADE BETWEEN 1948 AND 1982. This group was started in 2003, with the aim of encouraging the preservation and enjoyment of all Safari Caravans made before 1978 and of the classic shape with the drop front side window made until 1982. We try to assist owners in preservation, restoration, sales and purchase of these excellent Caravans. Membership is open to anyone who owns, has owned, or would like to own a Safari caravan, or is a supplier of products or services directly related to these Caravans. The world's largest collection of photographs of Safari Caravans is now on the Facebook group.

Hi Donna an Bear here we have owned safari for a while currently on our third this one a 15/2 about a 78 i think we was members of the msn group we are from the northamptonshire area an use the caravan most weekends from easter to September mostly nowadays at steam fairs which is handy as we often get in for free due to the age of the van although then we have to keep it tidy an i have to be put out of sight

To other members - I have met Donna and Bear on a couple of occasions and Bear's comment about him being kept out of sight when they are exhibiting their Safari is one I agree with.

We wouldn't want to frighten any potential Safari owners, as Bear's nickname is totally appropriate - he has the appearance of a Grizzly, but underneath is a fluffy Teddy ;D ;D ;D ;D.
