HOwdy folk I'm wondering wether to buy a an awning from a 12/2 for a 14/2: It works out 50 cm smaller than the sizes I've been given. I wonder, would it fit (I imagine it would) and, - how would that be - just stopping short of the end? Is that worse f0r wind or something? caravan spec | year | awning rail --------------------------------------- 12/2 1978-81 725 14/2 1973-81 775 cheers, John

Don't do it John. Not only will you have the end walls of the awning finishing 25cms off the ground, but the frame won't support the canvas correctly either, and the whole awning will be most unstable.

Phew! Thanks for answering Brian.. you saved me unnecessary hassle just in time, as I was tempted to meet with the chap on my trip to London, leaving tonight. So I can call it off now. Interesting (kinda) that it will be shorter too - I'm guessing the rail is curved. BTW I'm not getting email notifications, even tough I have a thread bookmarked. What else should I be doing to make it work?
