Hi.. Would you find a classic safari disgraced if it were modernized in any way ? I have one that i will shabby chic. The only reason for this is that the whole of the inside has been stripped out and re-built. because of complete rot. However, the cupboard doors have been saved but painted. Hot AND cold water has been intalled, and lighting has been updated.. led and lots of them ! Please let me know what you think. ?

Thanks for that Daz Just gathering owners opinions. I wanted to keep as original as possible but this was not to be. So i went the other way and decided to up-date a little.

As Daz says it is really up to you. I prefer them to remain original , or upgraded with period type features. I am not in favour of the shabby chic style with all the frills and pretty colours. Show us some pictures as you go along.

Can i add pictures to the same thread in gallery? Or will they go in line, as i have lots of pics ? Also.... Have you re-built a caravan Brian ? I see you are from the south east and wondered if you've purchased a Safari locally !

I bought my first Safari way back in 2003, and in 2006 I rebuilt the front end completely. In 2013 I started taking my two grandsons away in the Safari regularly and the 14-2 was too small and so I got a 15-4 to replace it. In spite of living in Essex, my first Safari came from Manchester and my second from Middlesborough! I have "acquired" several more Safaris locally but these were too far gone to restore and formed the basis of the extensive stock of spare parts I have in my loft!
Add your pics to the gallery when you get the time!
