Is this really a Safari

New member "Misa" has posted pictures of this caravan she is restoring, and someone has suggested that it is a Safari. Over on Facebook the general opinion is that it is not but no-one has come up with any other suggestions.















The "Mollycroft" roof was used by so many manufacturers that identification can often be a problem. The line of the roof above the window rings a faint bell but I cannot put a name to it. There are better experts out there who I am sure will help.

I messaged Andrew Jenkinson - the caravan historian and he answered

its odd to say the least, has that early Safari look - almost a Heinz van! Problem was that there were many small builders of caravans around, and some were never really registered brands - so when one turns up like this its a puzzle has Safari overtones but with pre-war type design. Of course the other option it was built by Safari to a customers design which would have happened of course. So it could be Safari but with other bits thrown in! Not seen anything like it really even in my 30's archives
