I've had to have several repairs done to my gas and electrical systems in the Safari to be safe and legal but along the way the mechanic destroyed some of the original features of the van . I'm mainly referring to the rear lights where the backing plates have broken in several places . I suppose it was in evitable there would be some breakage when trying to remove 34yr old brittle plastic . Anyway although I imagine some second hand replacements are available ...I wonder if it would be possible to manufacture replacement parts using one of these new 3D printers ?

I don't know enough about 3d printers but I wonder if they can reproduce the reflections and refractions in the original lenses.
I have a big stock of the trapezoidal shape including used £12.00 and new old stock £15.00 plus postage. I also have a few metal bases for these lights.

I would imagine you are right about the lenses Brian , as you say , I was mainly referring to the backing plate which looks a simple enough shape to reproduce . However if you have new old stock of these , I would certainly be interested in purchasing a couple at that price . The electrics of the entire caravan required an overhaul before first use . I'm keen to maintain originality where possible . Please message me and I will confirm we are talking about the right part and arrange payment.
Cheers Geoff
