THE ONLY FORUM FOR ENTHUSIASTS OF CLASSIC SAFARI CARAVANS MADE BETWEEN 1948 AND 1982.
This group was started in 2003, with the aim of encouraging the preservation and enjoyment of all Safari Caravans made before 1978 and of the classic shape with the drop front side window made until 1982.
We try to assist owners in preservation, restoration, sales and purchase of these excellent Caravans. Membership is open to anyone who owns, has owned, or would like to own a Safari caravan, or is a supplier of products or services directly related to these Caravans.
The world's largest collection of photographs of Safari Caravans is now on the Facebook group.
Hello! We're currently selling our '77 14-2. It's time to upgrade to something larger. I believe her to be in good condition for her age (the previous owner reputedly had her dry-stored for several years). She has had very little work done on her and is in a tidy and clean condition (the bottom part of the stable door has been redone this year) and has minimal damp problems (small dried out patch - front corner of the lantern roof - and some above the cupboard by the door). We have used her regularly over the last 3 years (since we bought her)with no problems at all with the running gear - she's even been over the Alps a few times! Original features include - large awning, 6 etched Safari sherry glasses, 2 cut glass vases, melamine dinner set and charging system. I believe the cooker, heater, gas fridge and cassette radio all to be original and are fully functional. We're asking £1200 ono. She's available to view in the New Forest area. Please contact me via here, by emailing wrekon at dsl dot pipex dot com or ring my partner Ian on 07790257943. I can email photos. Many thanks and hope to hear from you soon. Debs (rootygirl)
