Hi everyone , new member . I will be looking for a van in the new year to take to shows and the odd weekend away behind my rover p6 . The car is a 74 v8 and i'd like a van around that age , i think it would look great behind the rover . I'd like a 12 to 14 ft 2 berth , Just me and the old man , occasionally his 9 year old . I guess their is enough room for a camp bed up the middle for a small one ? Will be looking for something sound , don't mind a little work , but not a basket case . Any hoo just wanted to say hi

Hi ??Tina?? and a warm welcome to the group.
I sold my P6 3500 before I got my Safari, but used it to tow classic cars on trailers all over Europe. Apart from petrol consumption it was a perfect vehicle for the task.
It will cope with a 12 or 14 ft Safari easily. The other option to your nine year old sleeping inside is to get an awning, my grandchildren are desperate to sleep in my awning but at 6 and 8 years old I prefer them to be inside. But may let them next year.
Can you give us an idea of your location (County will do) as it may assist with your search.
Good luck with your search and don't be shy about asking questions on here, we are a friendly bunch who are keen to help new converts!

Hi guys , Thanks for the welcome . I reckon the old girl will be o'k on towing duties , ;D Fitted a tow bar last year for pulling my allotment trailer . Will be looking around for something suitable next spring time . No idea of what i'd need to spend for a reasonable one . It's quite a new idea , at the moment , would love to go and look at a few . Ps love the amazon Brian , seen it on another forum , looks great . Stina ( Christina )

If you let me know whereabouts you are in the country I could guide you to members who would let you have a look at their Safaris, and tell you what to look out for when you go to look at Safaris for sale.
I would say that every Safari sold is either through this forum or on ebay.
