Hi there, I am considering buying a 17/4 1968 (I think) Safari for touring and spare bedroom. It is in pretty poor condition and as I know nothing about caravans and have just fallen in love with it irrationally I was hoping someone might be able to give me some advice on whether it is worth repairing and if there is anyone I could pay to do the repair? I am Hants/Sussex area. The tow bar needs welding, all the interior hardbord is a health hazard that needs replacing and god knows what is going on underneath the carpet?!! Its all a bit unknown. I have a few pics if anyone is interested in having a look and have even seen the odd photo of the same caravan on the internet, it is a distinctive faded algae green with an off purple stripe a flue coming out the top and a door either side, looks like it could have possibly been inhabited by hippies at some point in it's former days. Am I mad to let this beautiful moneypit into my life? Any advice gratefully received as the chap wants to know whether I want it asap?

I have just inherited a 1968 13/2, never considered having a caravan before, but I am glad I have. All other road users give you a smile when they see you towing it . I would say go for it?
