This group was started in 2003, with the aim of encouraging the preservation and enjoyment of all Safari Caravans made before 1978 and of the classic shape with the drop front side window made until 1982.
We try to assist owners in preservation, restoration, sales and purchase of these excellent Caravans. Membership is open to anyone who owns, has owned, or would like to own a Safari caravan, or is a supplier of products or services directly related to these Caravans.

hello im finding it impossible to find anything out about the caravan i own so i am wondering if there is any events in the north? im in cumbria. please let me know if you know of any such event or anything about the caravan i own ??? many thanks for your time ;D
hi mike, thanks for the reply. i am trying to find out the age and model. if you see from the pics my van has a different interior and layout. the windows are also different, there is not one above the door and the rear windows are the opposite way round to what i have seen on here. the bathroom and window are on the same side of the external door? im puzzled as i cannot seem to find another the same.... also the ID tag on the outside of the van had been painted and then damaged so i can tell what it says.. any info you can give me would be great many thanks
Hi from the photos i can tell you your van started as a 4 berth if it is not now the furniture has been painted the flash is not the original colour. the tow bar cover is missing as for the window above the door has got me baffeled i cant remeber vans made with out a window there but is was along time ago when i work therethe year could be late 60s early 70s it is hard to date it but the main door was made in the factory later vans the doors were bought in i hope this helps if i can help any more give me a ring on 01453766729 i would be quite happy to talk to you about your Safari Mike
Hi Mike, Thats brilliant thank you! i will get some more photos on here then it should give you a better idea. it is a 4 birth with a double at the front, and then one fixed bunk and a 'sling' type canvas bunk that can be put above it. many thanks
