Hello - we are new to this forum and it's great to see all the information and possibilities for finding a Safari caravan and parts etc. for it. We narrowly missed out on the perfect caravan on EBay and still seeking a 4-berth Safari. We are not too concerned about condition, but a dry, original example would be fantastic. Any ideas or caravans that you might be aware of becoming available, we'd be really grateful if you could let us know! Many thanks. Anna and Jon

Hi Anna and Jon and welcome to the group.
You will see there are now several people actively seeking a four berth Safari, and there are not so many of them available.
On the master database there are 28 - four berth and 69 - two berth listed.
I have previously suggested that as Safari's were quite expensive caravans when new, they were sold to retired couples rather than young families. and so 4 berths were not so popular.
A word of caution to all of the members seeking a four berth, there are some less than honest people selling them on ebay - and prices are going up and up.
DO NOT BUY UNSEEN. There was one sold recently for £800 and it was so rotten in every corner and the roof that the buyer sold it for less than £50 a month later.

Not sure if this may be any good to you , but in one of my vintage lorry mag's a Safari has 'just' been put in the for sale section with a tel no and a price of £300 ono. advert says 1970s £300ono Maybe earlier, origional innterior, needs restoration 07807548628 . dont know any more but for the price of a phone call what have you got to loose? in the small picture it looks to have been painted green all over but thats not unusual if its been used in a green belt area. the local farm were i store stuff is licenced to have 12 caravans on it, but if there painted green they dont count. Funny old world. I have nothing to gain from mentioning this and am no way connected with the seller. I just noticed the add . Nich
