THE ONLY FORUM FOR ENTHUSIASTS OF CLASSIC SAFARI CARAVANS MADE BETWEEN 1948 AND 1982.
This group was started in 2003, with the aim of encouraging the preservation and enjoyment of all Safari Caravans made before 1978 and of the classic shape with the drop front side window made until 1982.
We try to assist owners in preservation, restoration, sales and purchase of these excellent Caravans. Membership is open to anyone who owns, has owned, or would like to own a Safari caravan, or is a supplier of products or services directly related to these Caravans.
The world's largest collection of photographs of Safari Caravans is now on the Facebook group.
CLASSIC CAR, MOTORCYCLE, CARAVAN AND MILITARY SHOW ROYAL GUNPOWDER MILLS, WALTHAM ABBEY 6th and 7th AUGUST 2011
The RGM mixes history, science and beautiful surroundings. Established in the 17th century it has a very important place in the history of Great Britain. The arena for the display is over 1000ft long and is surrounded by a made-up road and throughout both days there will be themed cavalcades of the vehicles present. This will provide visitors with a unique spectacle of classics in motion. Overnight camping is available for vehicle owners and classic caravans are welcome. Full details and regulations will be provided with your entry pack. The Royal Gunpowder Mills require passengers in each car to pay an entry fee. (The driver still gets free entry). We have negotiated lower prices this year. Instead of the public admission price of £8.50 if you are in a classic vehicle your passengers get in for £5.00 each. Children (3-15 years old) are £3.00. Under 3’s are free. You need to complete the enclosed entry form for ALL vehicles and return it to them, with your payment if you are bringing any passengers. All vehicles must be pre-booked, email Motordata@aol.com or call 01702 520220 for an application form
