Sorry Brian but like you said at Stapleford "if you cant beat them" so as wll as the Stirling, the chateaumobile , the portafold and the cheltenham i now have a Safari, a 1964 2 berth.. I am also for the benifit of members that don't know me the guy behind last years record challange were we set a UK record of 104 classic caravans on display to the public at one time, and also the guy that stewards the period caravan section at the Belvoir steam rally, were this year we had 60 classic caravans and camper vans on display, exhibited over 2 days, at one of the largest steam rallys in the Midlands ,any way back to my Safari. it is the one that was almost opposite you at the record challange, what I have fornd that seems most unusual is the front and rear pannel, they both have a joining seam running top to botton right threw the centerline of the caravan, also I am hoping to find help in finding out what the interior layout should be like, as one of the cupboards is a difeent shade of wood, and the kitchen layout is again unusual.

Hi Nich and a big welcome to the select group of Safari Owners, I just knew you wouldn't be able to resist one!!
From my photo albums in does seem that in the early 60's Safaris were made from all sorts of different panel sizes, but I am not sure I have seen one divided down the middle!
For the interior, send some pics of yours and we will see how the collective knowledge of the forum members can help you.
