I phoned a repairer today but he didn't sound too confident in getting parts" In the course of having some work done plus a standard service Harringtons phoned me to say they have found some of the dreaded damp in my 17/2. Two places, one of which is the front offside corner, and they say that is due to failure of the window seal, so they are going ahead with repairing it. No suggestion from them that they might have any difficulty in obtaining parts (or materials), so I presume that either a standard seal will suffice or a good workshop can work from stock materials to effect a satisfactory repair. The other location (nearside rear corner) may be the more expensive repair ... They will investigate and report back, but at this stage I am taking the view that we will have to have it done. Oliver
