Hello all sorry I've not posted for a while but I'm really struggling to find any enthusiasm for anything at the minute but anyway I was on holiday the week before last & I spotted a grey Safari with maroon stripe attached to a blue Volvo 240 estate at Henderson's garage in Alston on the Thursday just wondered if it was anyone on here??? Regards Col

Welcome back Colin you have been missed!
I don't know of a Safari with the colour scheme you mention so I would be interested to see if we can track it down.

Colin Didn't think you were dead - I know you only come on here every six months or so! In fact that makes you one of our more regular contributors Let us see your pictures, just copy and paste the photobucket url into the message, and preview to make sure it is visiblee

fab pics. do you happen to know how old it is....looks very much like ours (except for the 2nd window on the right hand side - presume is bathroom? ours is to the rear) and has the same 3 front windows and badges, ours is 1969. such a shame to see it just standing around doing nothing. Georgie is nearly ready for her first outing, had to rush the external paintwork though but needed her for the Formula 1 this weekend. will post pics later

I guessed it's age to be early 60's with the "wave" in the roof line above the door & the 3 window front end but I'm not certain.................Brian would know

While on the bus coming home from Glasgow there was a Safari being towed by a silver peugot estate,(looked like it was heading up to Stirling ),but people in the cars behind it were shaking their heads as the driver was hogging the outside lane lol The safari looked the same as the one in the photo 2diesels posted except the stripe along it was a light green colour, same as mine
