I'm new to this forum, I have a Safari 12/2 serial number 79256 which we have inherited, the van was purchased new in 1979 by my late father-in-law.
We intend to have the van serviced and resprayed in original colour as the current paintwork is looking a bit tired. The interior is in excellent original condition. My father-in-law had a full size exterior door formed to access the bathroom from the outside, this work was carried out by Cosalt in 1981 (I think it was about that year). Must be one of the few Safari's with two doors ?
I have recently purchased new tyres and battery. I will try and post some photo's once we have completed the work.
