I have owned and used my Safari for at least 10 years. For the last three years the van has been undercover as I intended to carry out some internal wood replacing as water had got through the roof external seams and rotted a number of areas of wood. I looked at the van last weekend and found that the amount of work required was quite considerable and somewhat beyond my capabilities. The van is now available to any one who would like to take it off my hands and attempt repairs of even use it for spares. A reasonable offer given its state would be considered. The van is located in Elland, West Yorkshire, HX5 area. Please let me know if you are interested and I will supply some pictures of the areas requiring attention.

Further to my previous message I have again looked more closely at the inside of the van and found that the wood has "gone" in a lot more places than I had previously thought. The van therefore is only fit therefore for breaking and scrapping and next week I shall endeavour to find my nearest caravan scrapper and arrange to dispose of the van. Very sad because we had some good times away in the van.

You are too far away for me to get to you, but does your Safari have double glazing?
If it does the front side windows are worth at least £50 each, and are worth saving if you have the space.
I would immediately purchase small items, such as hub caps, front and rear badges, wheel bearing caps, and especially Safari engraved glasses, if you are prepared to put them in a parcel and send them to me.
Can you also let me know the serial number so I can add it to my Database of demised Safaris.
