Not sure if I am doing the right thing here but here goes anyway. After many years of looking longingly at Safari caravans we were on our way home from a shopping trip when hubby spotted one for sale. Never in our wildest dreams did we think we would be in a position to buy but the seller just wanted rid. As we bought it shortly before our annual holiday it was a case of a quick clean then off we went. The fridge wouldn't light so that was out, the fire worked first time as did the cooker. Having said that the grill was rubbish. We still enjoyed our 3 week break and came home with a to do list. Being heavy weights the foam had to be replaced first job. Got a really good bargain on new foam off a man on eBay then recovered it. Job one done. Terry replaced missing shelves, trim and broken light fittings. This year we have bought a new fridge which needs fitting and also stripped the cooker down to refurbish. Once we get some decent weather and please God we do at some point, we have a couple of repairs on the awning to do. Our Safari is a 12/2 1971 and we love it.
