The song is "Supreme". The highly improbable story line shows RW as a grand prix driver in the 60's racing Jackie Stewart for the F1 championship using a Safari as his pit lane motorhome! Much better than the 40 feet truck conversions they use nowadays! Before the final race that will decide the Championship, Robbie is asleep in the Safari when he is seen going into the small room with a toilet roll. His manager quickly looks inside the Safari and seeing the bed is empty locks the door. Now comes the total farce! Robbie can't get out! He is seen banging on the door, and has to hold it shut when trying the handle. He hasn't got the sense to open a window and the race takes place without him! So Jackie Stewart wins. Doh!!! The video is too big a file to post on the group, but if anyone wants a copy I can burn it onto a cd for then. Could post it for £2.00 all in. Email me if you want one. All part of the rich history of Safari caravans! Brian

From: Brian (Original Message) Sent: 29/05/2005 21:05 Page 21 of Friday night's METRO (the London Free Paper) Two Photographs of the Safari in Trafalgar Square (that I will post as soon as my new scanner is up and running) and text: Rubbish: But is it art? Fear not travellers have not set up in Trafalgar Square. The occupants of this old caravan are a collective of art students intent on making a point. They drove the 1956 (Sic) Safari vehicle to the foot of Nelson's Column yesterday to challenge 'Prejudices against people who make a caravan their home'. The installation entitled "Our Little Corner of the Earth" is the first in a series at the London landmark and was created by Little Death - a group of students from Camberwell School of Art in South East London. They also piled up bags of rubbish by the caravan to symbolise society's attitude to travellers. But step inside and you feel as if you have entered someone's home. It will be on display unitl 7pm tomorrow. end quote I'm not sure I understand these art installations, but any publicity for Safari Caravans is good publicity in my opinion. Well done Ben & Kris Brian Miller

From: bimkat11 (Original Message) Sent: 13/03/2007 00:41 Don't know if this has been mentioned as i haven't read all threads but children's tv prog the little vampire used a safari. It was the home of the vampire slayer and his son and had many shots from inside and out. Great to see them out there!

It is a 15-4 Safari, (identified from the side window). I am now going to contact the film company that makes the show to find out more. Brian
