1981 Safari 15/4. Bought brand new by my father shortly before he died so has had very little actual use. Has been lying out behind my mother's house for several years now and has fairly extensive damp problems. All original upholstery, curtains, full set of Safari glasses in cocktail cabinet. Original fridge, cooker and heater. I also have all the original paperwork and instruction manuals. Ideal restoration project. Reluctant to break up for spares but would consider.

A few questions - whereabouts is the Safari? Any photos? (as these always help to decide if the project is worthwhile)
Can you let me have the serial number (on a sticker by the main door) for the register.

At present she is with Carlight in Sleaford.I am awaiting a quote from them for restoration. The serial number is 81191. I have a few photos on my I-pad and will try to send on to you.

Your Safari was spotted at Carlight in April and the serial number was passed to me. Are you still waiting just for a quotation? Carlight are recognised as top quality restorers but have prices to match their reputation and so their quote will not be an economic proposition against the finished value of any Safari. So unless your restoration is for sentimental reasons you will be better off selling it as it stands. Let us see some photographs and we can give you a better idea of its value.

For sentimental reasons I would love to have the caravan restored and would hope that the family might use it occasionally. However if it is too expensive to restore then I shall very regretfully have to sell it. I have some photos, but not being very computer savvy I can't get them from my "in box" to this forum.....might I e-mail them directly to you so that you could put them on the board for me? Sorry!!
