For sale our gorgeous much loved Cosalt Safari Caravan. In spite of her age she is bearing up well. She is dry inside, and still looks the part after many years. Has been kept together by previous owners and ourselves. The upholstery and woodwork inside is in good condition, as is the fridge, hob, grill and the waterworks. Since we purchased her 2 years ago we have replaced the jockey wheel and serviced the handbrake including replacing the ratchet mechanism. Outside all the legs are in good condition and the lights work. Ready to be hitched up and because she is light she can towed by almost anything.
As to be expected with an old girl she has a few faults. There are two small dings on the bodywork. Unfortunately the photos are too large to be added but if you want any photos contact me and I'll send them to you. Also we have never had either the heater nor the cooker working although I suspect with a little perseverance both of these could work fine. The main front window is also cracked but is waterproof. You can get replacement windows for these or have them made but to be honest it works fine.
This van was one of the last of the old Safari's, there is a very active club where you can obtain heaps of information. This particular van was one of the first to have double glazing. The van is easy to tow as she is lightweight and short and does not seem to suffer the same stability problems some of the newer vans have so suitable for the an inexperienced caravaner.
These vans were also very solidly built hence why they have lasted. Built to very similar standards as a Carlight. Inside it has real character with the curved woodwork on the ceiling and the lantern roof. Sadly I have to part with it as we need to make space for a new caravan although I'm finding it difficult to come to terms with having to change her for a newer van.
We also have a good Isabella Awning for sale separately with the light fibreglass poles that will fit the van a treat.
Please contact for further information please call 07894158931. A true classic van looking for a new home. Cash on collection only please.
