In the XL475 thread F1mad mentions that Swift Caravans are restoring a Safari Minor, that they say is a 1948. It is pictured in this page on their website www.swiftgroup.co.uk/swift-group/news/swift's-special-restoration-project

Just out of interest, this tiny Safari (or another identical model) came to the company repair shop in early 1982. It was being refurbished for an exhibition, and had apparently been in storage. Evan Richards, the late works manager, took a lot of interest in it, having been with the company from 1947/48, and was a friend of Tony Pearman, one of the founders.

Thank you very much, it's interesting to know that this Safari Minor is still around.
And thank you also for explaining Evan Richards' position in the company. I had forgotten, but think my interview appointment card did say 'works manager'. I will correct this in my posts!
I never saw much of the others from higher up the company food chain, Guy Collister and Roger Brown, but did see Peter Branscombe around quite often. I think he went to Grimsby upon closure, being very involved with the XL 475.
