We've only just come across this site and your post. We've just got a battered Safari 12/2 with some broken windows (front, front left and small toilet). I've no idea if any of the windows are interchangeable between models, but I thought I'd drop you a quick line to see if you still have anything available.
Best wishes
Jonathan

Welcome to the group Xforward.
What age is your Safari?
I have several single glazed glass windows, for sale, but only LH front side windows in double glazed plastic.
If you are looking for single glazed, post the exact sizes on here and I'll see if mine match with yours.

Thanks Brian. We've only just managed to find our way back to this forum! We have been able to reglaze the broken windows with acrylic, and they will do. But there may be other bits we need at some point...

Jonathan
Presumably yours were single glazed.
To help other members can you let us know how much you paid for acrylic sheets and did you get them cut to size or did you cut them yourself?

Hi there
Do you have the jockey wheel assembly or even the complete towing hitch assembly in good condition by any chance? Also I am looking for 1 near side fibreglass wheel spat?

Catherine, are you still breaking your Safari? I'm after the top half of the door window plus a door handle and lock. Probably loads more, just starting to restore mine...

Hi Merchel and welcome to the group.
Awnings are not specific to any make of caravan. They are measured by the length of the awning rail.
These have been reported several times on here but still worth repeating for new members.
You can then chose a make or style to suit your requirements.
Model year(s) size(mm) 12/2 1978-81 725 12/2 1982 750 13/4 1975-80 750 14/2 1973-81 775 14/2 1982 800 15/4 1974-81 800 17/2 1973-81 875 17/4 1973-81 875 17/5 1973-81 875

Hi all, I am a new owner of a safari - not sure of the year - of the Van that is... think early 80's... Loving it. I am towing her with my '57 MG Magnette. I am after the offside wheel arch cover... I have been looking into the possibility of getting one made but if anyone has one going spare that would be wonderful...

You mention you are keeping the electrics. Does that include the lights please as we need a replacement light shade for the strip light in our caravan,
Thanks

Hi there, We've just bought a 15/4 and want to bring her back up to scratch so.....do you have the original exterior round awning light? or a pennant holder for above the front window? I assume if the panels are dented and scratched, then your fibreglass tow hitch and gas cover would be too. We're also looking for cupboard catches.
All the best for your new project, hope it distracts you from any sadness at saying goodbye to an old friend!

Hi Neil and Chloe.
The round exterior awning light - big sigh. If you read through this forum you will note that they are more rare than a dry Safari! I have also been looking for one for a very long time but sadly can't even find out if they were made by someone like Britax or they were just simply unique to Safari. They do finish the vans off to their original state. If you find out any more details please share them or does anybody else have any ideas (Brian?!). I almost bought a scrap van recently just for the light!!
Good luck with the restoration
Paul
